Hide your fine lines & wrinkles
Even if you avoid direct sun exposure and regularly care for your skin, wrinkles and fine lines are a natural part of our skin’s life cycle and will show up eventually.
For years, the only option for treating sagging and wrinkled skin was going under the knife for a facelift. Today, we provide Botox® in The Woodlands to offer our clients a tasteful, non-surgical way to restore youth and minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, creases, and folds that have appeared from years of smiling, squinting, frowning, or yawning. If you are ready to look in the mirror and see smooth skin with a youthful glow, come to our med spa for Botox in The Woodlands!

When you come to our office for Botox in The Woodlands, expect to spend no more than 20 to 30 minutes with us. We may begin by applying a topical anesthetic or using a cold pack to numb the injection areas in order to ensure your comfort during the procedure. We then use an ultra-fine needle to inject the Botox into your skin. Most patients report feeling nothing more than a light pinching or pressure during the injections.

Depending on your tolerance, we may provide you with an ice pack immediately after your injections to reduce any redness or swelling you may experience. There is no required downtime with Botox in The Woodlands; most patients return to work or their regular daily routine after leaving our office with instructions to avoid direct UV exposure and rigorous exercise for a few days following their injections.
About Us
What distinguishes Medical Aesthetics & Laser from the rest is our team of highly skilled and experienced personnel, all of whom share a similar passion for helping clients look and feel their best.
Led by the talented Dr. Reeves, our team is dedicated to providing the personal attention and specialized care you deserve. We take the time to listen to your needs and discuss your various options with you in detail to help you make the choices that are right for you. No questions go unanswered; no concerns are dismissed. We provide personal attention every step of the way – from consultation to after-care, we are here for you.

How it Works
Botox is a very carefully formulated and diluted strain of botulinum toxin, a nerve blocker, which temporarily constrains the tiny facial muscles that contract and cause smiles, frowns, or other expressive faces. When properly injected by the experienced specialists at Medical Aesthetics and Laser, Botox relaxes and prevents these muscles from contracting, softening the complexion, reducing wrinkles and folds, and preventing new wrinkles from forming.
We can also use Botox in The Woodlands to address other common concerns, like a thin upper lip (called a Botox lip flip) or a gummy smile. If you experience TMJ, clench your jaw, grind your teeth, or want to make your face appear slimmer, we can place Botox in your masseter muscles to relax your jaw and give you relief. Once the results from your Botox in The Woodlands appear, you will notice smoother skin with fewer lines and wrinkles. Friends and colleagues may comment that you look more well rested and youthful than you have in years.
What is a Botox lip flip?
One increasingly popular way we use Botox in The Woodlands is to make the upper lip appear more prominent. The procedure is very quick and painless—we just need about four units total to complete a lip flip! Your experienced injector will inject Botox to relax the muscles in the upper lip. This “flips” your upper lip out and makes it appear more full and youthful. We can perform a Botox lip flip alone, or we can pair the procedure with hyaluronic acid (HA) filler injections to perfectly plump your pout. Don’t worry, we’re not fans of the “overdone” Real Housewives look either—we will create natural-looking results that complement and balance your features.

Should you consider "baby Botox?"
Don’t worry! We aren’t sticking needles in infants. Baby Botox is actually a conservative approach to cosmetic injectables, focusing on providing very natural-looking results. More and more, we treat younger adults (mid-20s to early 30s) with Botox injections to prevent many dynamic wrinkles before they become deeper and more noticeable. With baby Botox in The Woodlands, we inject less product into younger people who have few wrinkles—but want to prevent them from becoming deeper without going for full-blown Botox injections. We most commonly use baby Botox around the eyes to minimize the appearance of crow’s feet wrinkles, in the brow to keep the “11s” lines between the brows at bay, as well as forehead wrinkles made by repeatedly lifting the brow, like when you’re surprised.

Instructions
Before receiving your Botox injections in The Woodlands from Medical Aesthetics & Laser, we recommend:
- Avoid aspirin (e.g. Bayer, Excedrin) and other blood-thinning medications (e.g. Vitamin E, Fish Oil) for at least 10 days before injections. If you are taking this medication under direction of your doctor, be sure to speak with him or her for permission before discontinuing it.
- Avoid ibuprofen (e.g. Advil, Motrin) for 3 days before injections. Note: if you’re concerned about pain or bruising, you can take Tylenol before your appointment.
- Avoid alcohol for 2 days prior to injections as this too can thin the blood and cause bruising during treatment.
- Discontinue use of retinoid (Vitamin A) products for 2 days before & after treatment.
- Consider a zinc supplement in the weeks leading up to your Botox injections. Studies have shown that higher levels of zinc in the body are related to higher efficacy of Botox and other injectables.
- Make sure your skin is properly hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of water and using moisturizer morning and night.

To properly care for and get the most out of your Botox in The Woodlands, we recommend following up your injections with:
- No touching or massaging the injection site to avoid moving the material to a spot we did not intend it to be.
- Keep your head upright.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen when outside as UV rays can disperse the injectable faster in your skin, making the effects shorter (not to mention the acceleration of aging by the sun!).
- Avoid scrubs, toners, and abrasive cleansers for at least a week to ensure you do not disrupt the precisely-applied Botox.
- Sleep face-up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling.
- Avoid strenuous activity or aerobics for 24 hours after your injections.

Paired Treatments
Botox + Dermal Fillers
Both Botox and fillers are cosmetic injectables that help rejuvenate the face. They are both safe and effective and they are both very popular. That is where the similarities end. Botox and fillers accomplish entirely different things, but, when combined by an advanced injector, the results are incredible. Dermal fillers can address many other signs of aging that Botox can’t.
Since some facial wrinkles, folds, and creases do not form as a result of facial expressions, Botox is ineffective at treating them. Instead, we use fillers to fill in wrinkles and replace lost volume in the tissue to enhance facial volume and define certain features. Besides using fillers to treat deep or static wrinkles, we can use fillers to lift and define cheeks, plump lips, chisel a more attractive chin or jawline, and more. We can safely perform both treatments at the same time for total facial rejuvenation.
Botox + Scarlet RF & Agnes RF
It’s likely that dynamic wrinkles aren’t your only concern with your skin. Besides wrinkles, many people come to us with complaints about uneven skin tone and texture, scars, or sagging skin as well. To further address wrinkles in the area(s) we treat with Botox, or to address other skin concerns, we recommend treatments with Scarlet RF or Agnes RF along with Botox in The Woodlands.
We run the device’s handpiece across the skin, creating tiny micro-wounds in the skin’s surface. The needles are also equipped to release radiofrequency (RF) energy at a precise depth in the skin to cause a thermal injury deep underneath. These controlled wounds allow us to address many surface-level issues like wrinkles, fine lines, and sun damage while also signaling the skin to ramp up collagen production. Just know that Botox injections shouldn’t take place within 2 to 3 weeks of an RF microneedling treatment!
Botox + Halo™ Laser
For those dissatisfied with dynamic and static wrinkles, in addition to dark spots, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, or scars, pairing your Botox in The Woodlands with Halo laser treatments could be a great solution for you! This incredible laser treatment uses the world’s first (and only) hybrid factional laser, combining ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to deliver precise results without the downtime of traditional lasers.
Like our approach with Botox injections, we completely customize your Halo treatments to you, addressing your concerns while taking your goals and tolerance for downtime into account. We recommend spacing Botox injections and laser treatments by at least 2 weeks for best results.
Botox + BBL™ Photofacial
To maintain healthy, youthful-looking skin, regular Botox injections and photofacials at our office in The Woodlands pack a serious anti-aging punch. The powerful pulsed light in Forever Young BBL gently heats the upper layers of skin to stimulate new collagen production and give skin a firmer, more youthful appearance, addressing the same wrinkles Botox works to prevent and minimize. With virtually no downtime, you can see visible results immediately for sun damage, age spots, fine lines, redness, rosacea, acne, and skin firmness & elasticity.

I have been a client of Medical Aesthetics and Laser for the last few years. Prior to this, I tried several other clinics and doctor’s offices (including a couple of top plastic surgeons in Houston & The Woodlands) for Botox and facial treatments, but nothing can compare to results I have obtained with Allison and Kelli. I consider Allison to be both an expert and an artist in the way that she administers Botox and Dermal Fillers. She gives me a youthful appearance without causing me to look unnatural or contrived. I have used Kelli for laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and facials. Since adhering to her skin care regimen, my skin has never been as clear and healthy as it is now. I feel confident in recommending Medical Aesthetics and Laser to anyone who has the desire to improve their appearance, and gain confidence in the image that they project to others.

Within 7-10 days of your injection, you will see a noticeable improvement in dynamic wrinkles in your treatment area. These results will continue to improve for up to 30 days, though this time may vary from patient to patient.
Most patients are happy with the results of their Botox injections in The Woodlands for about 3-4 months. Gradually, the muscles will begin to move again and we suggest scheduling your next treatment to ensure we maintain the effects and no new wrinkles or lines are allowed to form.
Any discomfort felt during the treatment is minimal and brief. We take precautions to ensure your comfort by applying a topical anesthetic to numb the injection site and use very small, thin needles to administer the injections. Most patients are in and out in less than 20 minutes with no downtime. We also offer other pain management solutions for those feeling anxiety about their impending treatment.
If you are unrecognizable or look like you’ve “had work done” after your Botox injections, that typically means something is wrong. The results of Botox are visible, but will not radically change your appearance nor make you unable to move your face. Muscle activity is temporarily reduced, not eliminated, so you will still be able to show emotion–just without wrinkles and creases.
If you are allergic to Botox, the topical anesthetic, or the metal in the needles, you should avoid Botox. Additionally, those who are susceptible to scarring, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have bleeding disorders, have weakened facial muscles or damaged nerves, or currently have inflamed skin due to a rash, active acne, hives, cold sore, or another reason should avoid Botox.
Common side effects seen by the specialists at Medical Aesthetics & Laser include redness, swelling, and light bruising that typically clear up within a few hours of Botox injections in The Woodlands. Serious side effects from Botox are very rare, and it is considered a very safe product when injected properly in a sterile, clinical setting.
Treatment costs can vary depending on your unique needs and how much product we inject. Your Medical Aesthetics & Laser specialist will provide you with the exact cost of your Botox injections upfront in your initial consultation. We can accept CareCredit to cover the cost of your treatment.
Botox and other neurotoxin injectables are purified proteins of the Clostridium botulinum toxin type A. It binds to receptors on the treated muscles and render the muscle unreceptive to the nerve signals that would otherwise cause the muscle to contract. It’s very effective and works precisely where we place it.
Because of this, Botox allows us to relax specific, targeted muscles in the face that cause dynamic (muscle movement associated) facial wrinkling. In fact, Botox was originally developed (and is still widely used) to treat migraines.
Botox is approved for people over 18, though we would not recommend it at that age. More and more, younger clients are visiting us to get Botox injections as a preventative measure against future wrinkles. We frequently treat people in their mid-20s to early 30s in areas that wrinkles commonly first appear, like the forehead, between the brows, and crow’s feet. Being proactive about your skincare allows you to address wrinkles before they even form!
Botox in The Woodlands at Medical Aesthetics & Laser works well for most people well into their 60s, but thanks to the effects of time and gravity, it’s around this age that you’ll want to consider a facelift if you want dramatic anti-aging results.
