How it Works
On the day of your chemical peel in The Woodlands, we will first ensure you are comfortable, wash the skin with a facial cleanser and prep the skin with an alcohol/acetone. Then we will apply the chemical peel solution to the treatment area(s) and leave it to go to work exfoliating and brightening your skin. The amount of time the solution is left on your skin varies widely and depends on the type of peel we are performing.
After a light chemical peel, skin will be tingly, red, and irritated. Our experienced aestheticians will walk you through all the proper after care instructions to ensure risk-free healing. After we perform all chemical peels in The Woodlands, we will neutralize the chemical if necessary and apply sunscreen to help protect the skin afterwards.

Recently, at my annual appointment with the dermatologist, I was so very impressed and pleased. The Dr. commented on how great I was taking care of my skin. He had no idea that Allison and Kelli were taking care of my skin; I was just following their instructions with the regime they had advised! There are no professionals, or places, that I could more highly recommend than Allison and Kelli at Medical Aesthetics and Laser. My intent here is to pay it forward, just as my friend did, by her recommendation of Allison to me.

Medical Aesthetics and Laser is wonderful. Since they are associated with a physician’s office they have a fantastic array of product and service choices. Kelli's knowledge and professionalism is unsurpassed. The office staff is welcoming and courteous- always giving each client the time that is needed.

Generally, fair-skinned and light-haired patients are better candidates for chemical peels. If you have darker skin, you may also experience good results, depending upon the type of problem being treated. However, those will darker skin may also be more likely to have an uneven skin tone after the procedure. Consider laser treatments instead to address your concerns!
The right chemical peel for you will depend on your skin type and your goals. If you want exfoliation and a deep-cleaned glow, a light chemical peel is likely the best option. If you have more serious pigment irregularities, rough texture, wrinkles, or acne scars, we may recommend a medium peel. Your experienced specialist at Medical Aesthetics & Laser will walk you through all of your option. We offer superficial peels including the Skin Medica Vitalize and Rejuvenize Peel, The Obagi Radiance Peel, and the Skinceutical Micropeel.
Again, this depends on the strength of exfoliating agent used. A light peel may be a great option monthly or every 6 weeks to maintain a bright complexion while a deeper peel may be performed every 4 months or as signs of damage return.
As with any medical-grade procedures, there are always certain risks if proper precautions are not taken. At Medical Aesthetics & Laser in The Woodlands, your safety is our top priority. Our treatments are performed in a sterile, clinical setting and overseen by a board-certified physician.
Treatment costs can vary depending on your unique needs. Your Medical Aesthetics & Laser specialist will provide you with the exact cost of your procedure up front in your initial consultation. We can also accept CareCredit to cover the cost of your treatment.
